São Lourenço, Minas Gerais

São Lourenço is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Minas Gerais and is part of the Circuito das Águas of Minas Gerais, in the Serra da Mantiqueira, being one of the best known hydromineral resorts in Brazil.

Its Parque das Águas is the main tourist attraction, as it has an area of ​​430,000 square meters and nine springs of mineral water, each with its own therapeutic and medicinal properties.

A really cool ride to take in the city is on the Trem das Águas, a cultural tourist train driven by an authentic steam locomotive that leaves the city and goes to Soledade de Minas, 10 km from the starting point.

With several handicraft shops scattered around, buying that souvenir for a relative or friend who can't go along is a simple task to do there.
