Huesca is a small city and also the capital of the province of the same name within the autonomous community of Aragon, in northeastern Spain, close to the mountainous areas of the Pyrenees.
One of the main tourist attractions found in Huesca is the Castle of Montearagón, which has Romanesque architecture, opened in 1085. Despite being in ruins, it is a historic site, very old and worth visiting.
The Cathedral of Santa Maria de Huesca is a Roman Catholic church, with Gothic architecture that began construction in the 13th century and ended in the 16th century. Its tower is 37 meters high and 180 steps are needed to reach the top. Despite all the effort required, the view granted is very rewarding, making it possible to have a 360º view of the entire city, including Montearagón Castle itself.
Miguel Servet Park is completely wooded, with benches to rest on, water fountains, an area for children to play, monuments and statues, a small lake and even a Snow White house. In it, at dusk (which in the European time zone normally occurs between 7 and 8 o'clock at night, depending on the time of year) the birds retire to the trees to sleep and perform a natural spectacle by singing together with one voice.
Close to the city, there are so-called "pueblos" (small villages), each with its own culture, gastronomic or even commercial potential. As they are not far from each other, it is possible to try and visit each of them without any major problems.
