Firenze is the capital city of Tuscany in Italy, being one of the most touristic cities in the country, it is home to many works of art and Renaissance architecture.
The great Duomo cathedral, with its gigantic terracotta tile dome, Giotto's bell tower and the Baptistery of San Giovanni, make up one of the most popular tourist attractions to visit, Piazza del Duomo.
Talking about art, the Galleria dell'Accademia displays Michelangelo's famous sculpture "David", while the Uffizi Gallery displays Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" and Da Vinci's "The Annunciation".
Piazza della Signoria, in addition to containing the beautiful Neptune fountain, also has a small open-air museum, full of characteristic statues, such as that of Perseus with the head of Medusa.
The Vecchio bridge, or simply "Old Bridge", is over the River Arno and is famous for having a large number of shops along its crossing.
One of the most beautiful places in the world, at least in the opinion of this humble author, is Piazzale Michelangelo, which is an incredible viewpoint from which to contemplate all of Firenze, being able to enjoy the enchanting view of the River Arno, Vecchio bridge and the Duomo cathedral and its dome.
